Fasching Saturday, February 18, 2012 - 7pm to midnight
Annual Fasching/Mardi Gras Prize Masquerade Ball.

Reserve this date to join us at our festive Costume Prize Masquerade Ball held at the elegant Kena Ballroom, 9001 Arlington Blvd., Fairfax,Va. 22031.
Enjoy great live dance music with Mike Surrat and his CONTINENTALS playing a wide variety of tunes from Polkas to Waltzes, to Samba, to Rumba, and more. Prizes awarded for best costumes (singles, couples and groups), and door prizes.
Delicious German food specialties, German beer, wine, champagne, and soft drinks available for purchase.
Lots of free parking.


Admission: $25/person (advance sale), $30/person at the door.

Memorial Day service at Prospect Hill Cemetery

The cemetery is located at 2201 N Capitol St NE, Washington, DC - Map
The Washington Sängerbund is going to sing.  Prospect Hill Cemetery is a designated historical landmark and is the burial site of many prominent German-Americans, including the first president of the Washington Sängerbund, Julius Viedt.

51st Saengerfest of the Nordoestlicher Saengerbund in Allentown, Pa

Hostchorus: Lehigh Saengerbund located in the Lehigh Valley.
The schedule will be:
Friday, June 1, 2012
     3:00 PM - Check in at the Holiday Inn Center City Allentown.
     4:00-6:00pm Buffet dinner at the hotel;
     6:30-9:30pm Rehearsal with orchestra at the Symphony Hall;
     9:30-11:30pm Dessert and Dance/Entertainment at the hotel.
Saturday, June 2, 2012
     1:30pm call time at the Symphony Hall;
     3:45-5:30pm Procession and Performance at the Allentown Symphony Hall;
     7:30-11:30pm Grand Banquet at the hotel.
Sunday, June 3, 2012
     11am–3pm Picnic at nearby micro brewery.


Our Mission Statement:
The Washington Sängerbund strives to preserve German song and the German language.
The organization cultivates the study of music and instructs the members in choral singing
and in the theoretical knowledge of music.
The Washington Sängerbund is recognized by the IRS as a 501 (c) (3) organization.
Donations are tax deductible under current IRS regulations.
